I read August: Osage County right before I came back to school, and HOLY SHIT I was blown away. It was so intense, I kind of want to read it over and over. BUT I'm currently in the land of Doubt, and will be until the end of September. Rehearsals start Monday! Hooray!

I just had to say goodbye to the kids- I'm leaving tomorrow at 7am. I NEVER cry... at anything... ever. But I was SOBBING. Not only because I love them all so much and they're such amazing kids, but because if I don't come back for a year or more... I have no idea what will happen to them. Some of them might go home, but their families gave them to the clinic for a reason- most of them are drunks or too poor to raise a family. I don't want these kids going home to that. And some of them could actually die if they get an infection or something- there's one baby who's 9 months old and 7.5 pounds. I won't get to see Daniel's first steps (he's SO CLOSE) or be able to see if Miruna gets stronger.
These are the most wonderful kids I've ever met and I don't think I'll go a day without thinking of them and wondering how they're doing. I hope they all end up happy and healthy.
